Unknown Drawing Symbol

Unknown Drawing Symbol

Unknown Drawing Symbol

(OP)
Hi all,

I came across a symbol on a drawing I had never seen before.

The origin of the drawing is likely from Asia.

The symbol appears to be calling out a manufacturing / assembly detail.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Sincerely,

Funk

Hopefully the link works this time.

Link

RE: Unknown Drawing Symbol

Commonly used in Japan similar to the way Americans use the *.

I'd guess it is associated with a note to indicate where the note applies.

Thank you for your help MintJulep!

RE: Unknown Drawing Symbol

I have vague recollections of seeing this on UK drawings back in the 1960's
I also think that it was in place of * and there would be an associated note elsewhere on the drawing sheet
