Sizing and selection of Chemical feeder pot for chilled water system

I am designing a chilled water system (650 TR). Please help me size and select the chemical feed pot required in the system. Any codes or standards to follow will be a great help. Thanks

RE: Sizing and selection of Chemical feeder pot for chilled water system

if you are talking about closed loop system, chemicals are fed to additional water, so you should size water addition first, and that should come from some recommendations applicable within standards you use for design.

I use 5 gallon on most systems of your size. 10 gallon if slightly larger. I dont know of any standard.

Your not really adding a lot of chemcials after the system is in place.

cdxx139, thanks for answering. Any design criteria that you use 5 gallons? Can you help me with any formula to calculate the pot size.

it probably depends on water volume and flow, but you can just feed for a longer time. typically we add chemicals and run it for some days. for your 650 ton system, just use a larger model and it likely will be good. Talk to Griswold or some other manufacturer
