GR CN7M material

Hi

i have a requirement to supply valves in Alloy 20 GR CN7M. i dont know much about this material but the working temp is 110°C with produced water, iw as looking at the option of 25cr duplex or carbon steel with and overlay. can anyone provide more details about the Alloy 20

thanks
Dean

RE: GR CN7M material

Alloy 20 is most commonly used for sulfuric acid service. This stainless grade has been modified to give great service in this application. The alloy has decent general pitting resistance, but it not as good as some other stainless grades.
This alloy is very tough.

RE: GR CN7M material

Alloy 20 or Carpenter 20 alloy castings are largely used for valve internals. You need to be careful with Carbon, . I have provided a link from Flowserve, you may search for more articles from their library. Hope it helps.
