Pressure relief in large server room

Pressure relief in large server room

Pressure relief in large server room

(OP)

I am working on a server room that is having pressure relief issues. This room is served by (3)25 ton rtus and (4)5 ton bard units. Ther is very little relief on the equipment. I am looking at installing (3) motorized dampers with backdraft dampers and pressure diferintal switches in each of the horzontal return air ducts back to the 25 ton units to relieve the excess pressure. Will this work?

RE: Pressure relief in large server room

Do you mean you have excess pressure on the room, and you are having problems opening doors?
Look at your inlet air on the RTUs and see what the settings are. You may be dumping more fresh air in than you need.

RE: Pressure relief in large server room

Sure, could indeed work.

RE: Pressure relief in large server room

Apologies, the above response was intended for another post. Ronh53, a "server room with pressure relief issues" and your proposed remedy might require clarification...
