10 parameter tool in NX7.5

Can I use a 10 parameter tool in cavity mill?

Getting an error (Climb/Conventional is invalid when spindle direction is none.)
tried toggling spindle direction (CW/CCW) and (Climb/Convention) with no luck.

Tool definition looks good with no errors.

Thanks,
Rick

RE: 10 parameter tool in NX7.5

This should work fine - I just tried it with no problems in NX 9.

Select the operation in the Operation Navigator, and open the Details panel.
Tool Direction should be checked and inheriting from the tool.

Some things to try -
Edit the tool, More tab, Machine Parameters, set the Direction=CLW ?
You should be able to leave this at none, it could make a difference.

Uncheck (and APPLY) to turn off the inheritance in the Details panel.

Thanks Mark

I do not have tool direction field in details of NX7.5 however I went to the more tab in tool definition
and changed it from none to CLW and it worked.

Thanks again I needed that to work for new tool we are trying.
