Analysis of solid works structure in ansys mechanical

(OP)
Hi folks,

I have a wing structure that is in Solidworks and i want to analyze it in ansys mechanical. I want to apply my forces at the middle of the wing and the fixed support at the bottom, i want to apply the forces as concentrated load at a point. when i try to import my geometry into ansys mechanical it deals with it as solid and i could not attach my force to a point. Any idea how to apply these force at apoint that lie in the middle of the wing in ansys mechanical.

Thanks

mopen

RE: Analysis of solid works structure in ansys mechanical

slice/cut the geometry up, imprint some geonetry etc......or later versions allow a node force to be applied
