Determine orientation of an "iso" V4 generated view?

Determine orientation of an "iso" V4 generated view?

Determine orientation of an "iso" V4 generated view?

(OP)
I have a view from CATIA V4 that was projected at some random orientation relative to the global axis system. I need to be able duplicate this orientation for new 3d data in V5 so I can superpose the view from V5 and V4. The V4 view is isolated.

RE: Determine orientation of an "iso" V4 generated view?

In this view, are there any edges that are represented as a point? (Another way to ask; is the view oriented perpendicular to any 3D lines?)

If not, are any round features represented in the view with true circles?

RE: Determine orientation of an "iso" V4 generated view?

You could probably do so with some trigonometric calculations. Is there any way you could crate a block aligned to xyz axes take a screenshot to upload without showing sensitive company data so we can attempt to help you out.
