Failure Mode

Failure Mode

(OP)
Dear Engineers,

Can i know what kind of failure mode that can happen on the wing spars, wing stringers, wing ribs and wing skins of an aircraft and it would be helpful if i can know the loads that cause that particular failure(s)

RE: Failure Mode

Yes, you can know all of that.
All you have to do is reverse-engineer an aircraft.
I suggest you pick a really old model.

read an airplane design book ... Raymer, Toreenbeek.

if you're particularly intereted in structures, read Bruhn.
