Rubber keypad switch - contact resistance
Rubber keypad switch - contact resistance
(OP)
I have a product for automotive that uses rubber keypads with gold/nickel plating over copper contact on a gold plated PCB. 5VDC with a current of 0.001 to 0.025A. Contacts are 3mm dia. How would I calculate what the contact resistance should be? I have a 15milliohm max requirement from FORD. Is this atainable?

Other than that, I quess I am confused on what your question is. If you know how much resistance you have in your circuit, you know how much current you are going to sink / source, and you know how much of a voltage drop you are allowed to have, why can't you figure out how much extra resistance (contact resistance) you can tolerate?
