H2S Production and Solubility/Equilibria in Solution

H2S Production and Solubility/Equilibria in Solution

(OP)
Geetings,

We have a facility that uses H2S as a raw material. We currently handle in rail car quantities but due to safety concerns we want to look at producing H2S on site to reduce stored inventory. I am aware of technology that produces H2S continuously by reacting NaHS and HCl (or H2SO4.) Not a complex process and the feed rates of H2S needed are not large so would like to look into purchasing a complete package/skid mounted system if at all possible.

Is anyone familiar with this technique to produce H2S and/or any suppliers/vendors that may offer complete package systems?

This process for producing H2S is aqueous based so would like to uderstand more about the chemistry/equilibria in solution. I once had a paper titled "A Discussion of the Effect of pH on the Solubility of Hydrogen Sulfide" by John J Carroll or similar. Looked all over and cannot find a copy. Good explanation of this kind of system. If anyone can point me to a copy I would really appreciate.

Thanks in advance.
