Symetry Association

Symetry Association

(OP)
I recently deleted a part created using the symmetry feature. The symmetry is no longer visible in the product tree but when I try to recreate the symmetry using the same part and the same symmetry plane I get this message: "You are selecting a plane and component already associated with an assembly feature symmetry".

It seems that Catia is still keeping reference to the deleted symmetry. Is there any way to remove this reference?

Any help would be appreciated.

RE: Symetry Association

Do a search for any parents/children associated with the deleted feature. You need to reconcile the dead links to the symmetry feature you deleted.

RE: Symetry Association

you need to delete the symmetry under the assembly features node located at the end of the tree in the product in which the symmetry was created
