Dear Experts,

I need your answer,

Dish to shell welding has been completed RT results pass, but while visual inspection, one of my friend saw that there no taper has been done on that joint there 4 mm difference in dish head thickness and shell thickness, should we need to reject that joint or need to accept, give me the reference.

Your reference is Fig.UW.13.1.
If you want more help, pls provide a sketch with all the relevant dimensions (including the position of the tangent line and geometry of the weld).

Keep in mind, the taper may be accomplished by weld metal. If this is done other requirements apply.

Taper is mandatory. It may be possible to be done now if access permits.
