Display first angle projection symbol in drawing

Display first angle projection symbol in drawing

(OP)
Hello NX users,

Simple question: how do I display the "first angle projection" symbol in a drawing? I tried Insert>Symbol>Custom. A menu shows up, but I'm lost from there on. I tried the search function but no result. I'm using NX 8.5

Another question regards the projection setting in the sheet settings. Is there a way to set the projection setting in a way that it directly displays on the drawing? It seems that the setting is not connected to the displayed symbol on the drawing, it would be nice if it was. Also I have noticed that this setting sometimes blanks out after adding some views to the drawing, why can this be?

RE: Display first angle projection symbol in drawing

Try inserting a 'Note' using the following text: <W@$SH_SHEET_PROJECTION_ANGLE>

This will result in either a First- OR Third-Angle Projection symbol based on how this behavior was specified when the Drawing sheet was first defined.

Thanks John, this works! BUT I can not set the scale, even if I modify the setting in the dialog box the symbol still has the same size.

Why can't I get it to work via Insert > Symbol? I suppose this should be the right way of doing things after all?
