stp file failure from CatiaV5 to Solidworks

stp file failure from CatiaV5 to Solidworks

(OP)
Hi,

I am sending STP files that I am exporting from Catia V5 R20 to a customer who is using Solidworks (revision currently unknown). These assemblies import ok apart from cable routings which have been modelled mainly using the rib function. Some of these parts view ok but the rest appears corrupted with the curves fading to nothing. I've tried the four version of .stp available on the options with the same end result. Any ideas

Thanks, Ian

Simplify the model first. I know it shouldn't matter. But, I've had that work for me a couple times. Other than that, I would suggest sending the file in Igs format.

Thanks for your advice jagodragon. We have tried sending the part in question seperately, and also in .igs but with no success. My only other step I can think of is to interogate the model for any small glitches or small surfaces that may not import well.
