Change in areas number in an opt analysis APDL

(OP)
Hello,

I´m trying to make an optimization analysis.
In my original analysis I have all my loads and contact elements in certain areas, when the program changes the parameters some areas changes their number and the loads are applied in erroneous places. Someone knows why is happening this?

RE: Change in areas number in an opt analysis APDL

Hi,

you need to select areas by location: asel,s,loc,x,..

RE: Change in areas number in an opt analysis APDL

Dear rafaelcacho
Have you tried naming those. Using named selection you can specify the parameters whose dimensions you want to change.
If I didn't answer your question, that's probably because I didn't understand your question. Thanks
