SW Liquid Filled Vessel Section View

SW Liquid Filled Vessel Section View

(OP)
I've been working on a liquid filled section view of this vessel for a few days now and my renders aren't coming out well.

I've attached an example. This is what you're looking at...
- I cut the vessel in half.
- The liquids, water and oil, are hallowed out cylinders that sit inside the vessel. This way they don't block anything from view.
- There are two Point Lights that illuminate the vessel, you can kind of see their hot spots.

The goal is to make a flashy flow diagram that eventually we will animate.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to "fill" this vessel? I've tried different lighting and changing the liquid materials, but the results are darker or washed out.

RE: SW Liquid Filled Vessel Section View

To many lights will drown out your shadows and it looks like you have a lot of light in the image you provided. Also the vessel looks like your trying to use a Chrome or a bright reflective metal. Have you tried to make it not so reflective? Some people have told me in the past they used Photoshop to enhance the image, not sure if that is what you need here, but I think you should be able to get something better than this.
