Question about DOD-MIL-STD-100

Question about DOD-MIL-STD-100

Question about DOD-MIL-STD-100

(OP)
Hello,

Would anyone know if DOD-MIL-STD-100 drawing interpretation contains a reference to ASME Y14.5 or any other tolerancing and dimensioning standard?

RE: Question about DOD-MIL-STD-100

see http://quicksearch.dla.mil for copies of mil specs.

From Revision G, which has been canceled since 2001:

"ASME Y14.100M is the preferred requirements document for engineering drawing practices. This
standard should only be used in lieu of ASME Y14.100M where the necessity for a DoD design
activity is fully justified and Government logistics support is required ."

ASME Y14.100M has a reference to '14.5.

Otherwise:
Page 32, Non-mandatory section on highly recommended Tailoring:

G. Dimensioning and Tolerancing (Choose all that apply)
(1) Metric
(2) Decimal-inch
(3) Application of ASME Y14.5M
(a) Specific issue (revision) required (Specify issue_________)
(b) Issue in effect (Specify issue __________)

It was specifically listed in MIL-STD-100F.
I don't have the E version.
Prior to this the document was DOD-STD-100D which referred to both ANSI Y14.5-73 and ANSI Y14.5-82
