Fraction formatting in a note
Fraction formatting in a note
(OP)
In a NX8.5 part attribute for 'Description' I have "1<Q1!2> x 2 x 3 1018 STEEL"
This works well in the parts table (BOM) and shows the fraction as it should.
However, when I make a note in the drawing for the part and link to the description attribute, it literally shows up as "<Q1!>"
Is this a formatting problem?
From what I have read in the forum this should work.

RE: Fraction formatting in a note
I don't think they are font dependent, but are you using the same font in both the BOM and the note?
What happens if you enter the fraction in the note as part of the text itself, not linked to the attribute?
It could be an issue with attribute linking.

RE: Fraction formatting in a note
The BOM and note are both using Arial Unicode MS font.
If I change the font to NX blockfont it shows up <Q1!8>, slight change.
However, if I just type <Q1!8> in the note, it shows up correctly.
So it looks like it might be a attribute linking problem.
Thanks again, I will contact GTAC.
RE: Fraction formatting in a note
I'll be glad to open a PR for you and let you know what I learn. Of course if we both open PR's it might get a bit more attention
