How to modify/add attributes to a family part

How to modify/add attributes to a family part

Dear all,

Is there any way to add attributes to a family part? When I open it, whether I have it read-only or not from windows explorer, I cannot modify it. It opens and says read-only.

RE: How to modify/add attributes to a family part

Are you opening the part family master or a part family member, part family member attributes can only be changed from the part family master spreadsheet, said attribute may have to be added to the spreadsheet first.

I am trying to change the part family member. I'll give it a try (within the family master part) and let you know.
