NX9 Save as

NX9 Save as

NX9 Save as

(OP)
When doing a save as of a component in an assembly UG asks you to do a save as on all the open files that have that component, it would come up in the information bar telling you what file you are doing the save as to now. It still asks you but does not tell you what file you are renaming.

Any Ideas?

RE: NX9 Save as

As a work-around, in the file rename dialog, pick any existing part file and press OK. It will error out asking for a new name, but then the current file name will appear in the status bar (lower left by default).

You should log an incident report (IR) with GTAC so that they can fix it properly in the next maintenance release.

RE: NX9 Save as

We logged this as a PR (2227881) about a month and a half ago.
Log a new PR and quote that PR as an existing one to be added to.

RE: NX9 Save as

We've been told that the NX9.0.2 Maintenance Release will contain the fix. I don't have a date on when it will be released, but I would think it's due shortly as NX9.0.1 was released back in February.
Until then, the workaround I've been using is to look at the information window, as it will update as you work through each filename. Not ideal, but it's a workaround.

RE: NX9 Save as

I'm running NX 9.0.2.5, which will be the next MR, and when I do a 'Save As' on a Component of an open Assembly I'm now getting the same exact feedback in the statua bar and the listing window as I would get if I had done this in NX 8.5.
