European structural timber C24 according to American National Design Specifications (NDS)?

(OP)
Hi,

I'm wondering which American timber grade (NDS) is closest to European grade C24? I want to do a timber design according to American National Design Specifications (NDS) with European timber C24.
Any help/comments/suggestions are highly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

The problem is that you can't directly convert Eurocode grade values to NDS values? Differences between methodologies are so huge that you can't do direct transformation! Eurocode is based on probabilistic/statistical methods aka Ultimate Limit State design (ULS) and NDS is allowable stress design (ASD). In other words Eurocode use safety factor on loads and materials, NDS does not (as far as we are talking about ASD design).
I know that I can choose the LRFD design according to NDS, but the difference is also there.

Comments still appreciated.
