Schedule piping

Schedule piping

Schedule piping

(OP)
Hi

Is the terminology `std`` wall thickness schedule 40.

Please help as I am getting conflicting answers.

Krish Manichum

RE: Schedule piping

No, actually two separate schedules, although for sizes thru 10 NPS they are the same.

REF: Any pipe chart

Regards,

Mike

RE: Schedule piping

They are not the same.

I have other references, but wikipedia is correct on this one: Link

40/40s/std are the same for NPS9 and smaller (I know, strange pipe size... but it's in the tables).

40s/std are the same for NPS10 and larger.

40 is thicker than std for NPS10 and larger.

Cheers,
Marty
