24Vdc /10Amp Transformer

(OP)
Hi, I am currently undertaking a project and I need a 24Vdc/10 amp (minimum) AC to DC power transformer, And I just cant find one, I am based in UK so a UK company would be prefferable. If anyone could point out a store or even a alternate soloution I would be most gratefull.

Thanks......

RE: 24Vdc /10Amp Transformer

If you need a unit providing DC its not called transformer, but many companies manufacturing transformers also supply such power supplies like the one you need.

You need to specify your requirements more exactly:

Whats your input voltage: Single phase or three phase ?

Do you need smooth DC or not ?

Do you need a regulated supply or not ?

Power supplies of that voltage and current rating are widely used for powering PLCs and asscociated loads:

There are three different basic designs avialable:

line-frequency transformer -- rectifier: only suitable for some kinds of loads

line-frequency transformer--rectifier--smoothing: smooth DC but with fluctuating output voltage because of line and load variations

Switchmode Power Supply: smooth and regulated DC

Suggestion: Visit

and enter Power Supplies: AC to DC which will return 202 companies to inquire about your specific needs that are not posted in your original posting.
