mf1 file & NX 8

mf1 file & NX 8

mf1 file & NX 8

(OP)
I am new to NX. I have an old hard drive with some useful designs on it. All the files are mf1 & mf2. Is it possible to get these into NX 8.

Thanks

RE: mf1 file & NX 8

Do you still have I-deas installed?

RE: mf1 file & NX 8

(OP)
No, I just have the mf1 & mf2 files on the hard drive. If I need I-deas is there any way to get it functional enough to get these files into NX(trial version)?

RE: mf1 file & NX 8

If you can get I-Deas running you could always export out a step, iges and or a Parasolid file of your models out of I-deas. Then you can import your models into NX. Are you running teamcenter? And of course these models will be non history supported just solid bodies when imported into NX.

RE: mf1 file & NX 8

Oh you could also you file interoperate and export out an XPK file.

I am not running teamcenter. Can you get these mf files into NX without SDRC IDEAS?

RE: mf1 file & NX 8

You may want to send these to GTAC. They may be able to do something with them.

RE: mf1 file & NX 8

All NX customers can have a free version of IDEAS thumbsup2, ask to your local contact
I have NX6 to NX9 and Ideas NXI2
