Interior footing Omitted in Post Tensioned Slab on Grade

Interior footing Omitted in Post Tensioned Slab on Grade

Interior footing Omitted in Post Tensioned Slab on Grade

(OP)
Builder forgot to cast an interior footing that I had specified for a post load that exceeded capacity of PT SOG...what I am proposing is a GLB at bottom of a load bearing wood stud wall (see attached)

Does all this seem proper?

RE: Interior footing Omitted in Post Tensioned Slab on Grade

Looks like a good idea. Your calculation of bending in the glulam is conservative. If the load is a uniform line load, M = 9,500*2.5/2 = 12,000'#.

Actually agree w/ M=12,000 ft-lbs, and use a 5.13 x 9 GLB instead
