Error in defining or computing beam section normal

Error in defining or computing beam section normal

Error in defining or computing beam section normal

(OP)
Hello! I would need a precious help to solve my problem. Thanks in advance to who will answer.
I have a mixed structure in Abaqus 6.12 (shells + wires) and I need to connect wires to shell elements. I defined separete parts and assigned beam section orientations to wires. I merged the instances and meshed the resulting one, but when I launch the program it appears the following error message:

Error in defining or computing beam section normal in 76 elements. The elements have been identified in element set ErrElemBeamSecNormal.
Error in job SF_Hor_g: The beam cross-section direction vectors coincide at a node in 76 elements. The elements have been identified in element set ErrElemBeamSecDirVect.
Job SF_Hor_g: Analysis Input File Processor aborted due to errors.

I understand that the problem comes when I mesh the wires, since 76 elements are from mesh (I have only 4 wires).
Please help me, I cannot find a solution.

Thank you again.

Luja
