Hello Designers!
Anybody can share a good reinforcement detailing for big openning in flat slab. The openning dimension is 3.0m x 2.8m coinside at the middle strip of the slab. Thanks and really appreciate your help.

RE: Reinforcement detail of flat slab openning

Middle-middle, no problem. Just provide lapping bottom bars on both sides, in both directions, equivalent to the intercepted bars.

Thanks!

RE: Reinforcement detail of flat slab openning

Is it just an opening, or is there a stair load or similar coming in on one of the edges?

RE: Reinforcement detail of flat slab openning

Always like to add additional diagonal bars at the corners on the opening as well

Kieran
