How can I get the area of a random shape? Draw any kind of complex shape, then shouldn't I be able to trace around the perimeter somehow to get the area? I can't find this function. Any help would be appreciated, TIA.

RE: measuring in drafting

Can't be done in Drafting.

What you have to do is: Copy the profile and paste it into a sketch, and then make a Fill surface and measure the area of the surface. (or make a Pad from the sketch, and measure the face)

Thank you for the good/bad news. It isn't bad to make the fill, but would be easier if I could just trace the lines in drafting and be done...
