Modifying TW elevations

Modifying TW elevations

Modifying TW elevations

(OP)
I am modeling a Basin and would like to analyze the idea of culverts with a check valve. I know that HydroCAD has a 1-way value and this is great for when my TW is above my HW. I want to know if there is a way to edit the TW elevations at different hours. I am analyzing a storm surge and the change in TW elevation is drastic within time (approximately 5' in 3 days), therefore fluctuating the flow out of the culvert and storage in the basin.

Thanks
ar9

RE: Modifying TW elevations

ar9,

You can insert a LINK downstream of the pond. On the GENERAL tab, leave it as Internal. On the ELEVATION tab, you can use either TABLE or TIDAL, whichever is more approriate for your scenario.

Be sure your calculation method is dynamic or sim-route so that the tailwater affects the pond.
