Drafting with our company standards

Drafting with our company standards

Drafting with our company standards

(OP)
I’m new to NX and now started detailing a design done outside.

I’ve made Drafting templates with our company standards and would like to appear this standards in the drawings I create. We use non-master model concept (i.e.: Drawing reside in the part file, and therefore I believe that original part standards supersedes our company drw standards).

After bringing the views in to the drawing sheet, do I have to reload our standards manually for each and every drawing? If I have to, how can I automate it? (Run a macro with template open?)

RE: Drafting with our company standards

Drawing standards in the templates or in the customization menus are only applied to future additions to a file, not existing dimensions, etc.

As I said, this is a new drawing creation(=detailing) from the 3D models I received.

RE: Drafting with our company standards

In your 3D model switch to drafting then go to file and then import part. Now import your template prt that you have your title blocks into this part.

Or you could import the 3D model into your template part also.

or use master model concept :)
