Exporting Lightweight bodies as STP etc

Exporting Lightweight bodies as STP etc

Exporting Lightweight bodies as STP etc

(OP)
Afternoon...
I've been sent some .JT files, which we can't open at work in Catia (which is most of my CAD stuff). I opened them in unigraphics and can view them as lightweight bodies, but when I try to export as a STP or IGES file, the part is created empty.
Bearing in mind that I only have rudimentary knowledge of unigraphics, is there any way to convert these lightweight "facet?" files to dumb solids? They're only to establish clearances in an assembly.

Thanks

Simon

Can Catia open/import an .STL file?
If so, you might have better luck exporting the .JT files as .STL.
