Welding steel pipe pile splices while other piles are being driven nearby?

Welding steel pipe pile splices while other piles are being driven nearby?

(OP)
I have a renovation project in which new steel pipe piles are being added to a basement foundation and the head height is extremely limited. Thus, the piles will be installed in short segments and a full-pen weld will be performed at each joint. The full-pen weld will cause some downtime in the driving and I assume that the contractor may one to drive pile segments in other locations while segments for piles are being set and welded.

Thus, I am wondering how concerned I should be about the possible of the vibration from the nearby driving affecting how good of a weld will be made at the locations that are being spliced at the same time. I'm not really sure what to expect. Maybe the vibration will be too much for them to even try doing = two things at once. But maybe it won't be. And if so, should I be concerned about the integrity of the welds?

The only project I've worked on like that - they drove multiple groups of piling and then stopped while the welder added on.

Seems like a good practice.
