IPC Table 1102.5 mentioned the use of PVC pipes as per ASTM 2729 for subsoil drains.

Can we use the same for sanitary drains like for water closet?

RE: ASTM 2729 for sanitary drains

PVC pipe per ASTM D2729 - 11 is probably acceptable for building drains. However, you will have to use the materials specified in the plumbing code that was adopted by the municipality where you are located.
