Build an assembly / drag and drop

Build an assembly / drag and drop

Build an assembly / drag and drop

(OP)
I can build an assembly by utilizing my 2 monitors. 1 window NX assembly file, 2nd window is the explorer file window. When i drag the file over it defaults to add component but then it skips the initial dialog and goes straight to assembly contraint touch align. This would be fine accept when I'm not adding a bolt or nut I would like to use the default absolute coordinates of the other NX prt file. How can I do this using drag and drop? I end up having to using the add component feature rather than drag and drop. Any help would be appreciated.

RE: Build an assembly / drag and drop

Those options can be found in your customer defaults: Assemblies -> General -> Component operations -> single select drag and drop/multi select drag and drop.

A change in your defaults will take effect the next time you start NX.

That was exactly it. It took me a minute to find File/Utilities/Customer Defaults. All I had to do was uncheck the box. Thank You!
