VIBRATION IN BELT CONVEYORS

VIBRATION IN BELT CONVEYORS

VIBRATION IN BELT CONVEYORS

(OP)
What are teh main causes of vibration in belt conveyors. what studies are needed for a diagnosis?

RE: VIBRATION IN BELT CONVEYORS

When things move, they vibrate. But you have come to the wrong place for advice on conveyors. Try the Mechanical Engineering forums, or else try Googling. I think there are some blogs specific to materials handling. Now if it is the structure which supports the conveyors that is vibrating, perhaps you will get some assistance here, but you will need to better define your problem.

RE: VIBRATION IN BELT CONVEYORS

Belt conveyors are dynamic structures and the sources of vibration could be endless. The first step is narrowing down the issue, which may be mechanically-related, structurally-related, or both. Someone experienced in conveyor design (both mechanical and structural) is needed to properly identify the problem.
