For cast body of a valve (material SA-995 grade 6A) say limitation on use as per code case 2244. What does it mean.

Have you read code case 2244? Please be more specific about which part of it you don't understand.

Hi Azizur,

This code case is quite old,incorporated in ASME Sec-VIII, DIV-1 in Yr 2000.The material involved is the cast version of Zeron-100(see the attachment).It's not clear from your enquiry what's the real design and selection issue with this casting, except that this material,like all other Duplex and Super Duplex stainless steels has limitstions with respect to high temperature applications.
