need help modelling
(OP)
Hello,
I want to create a model of a radial bearing-like configuration, in which the balls transfer force from inner to outer part (see attached model). I want to do this using connections, and a pie-shaped segment using symmetrie. I can't get this to work due to "bad pivot ratios". Obviously i am struggling with the boundary conditions or the connection definitions.
Anyone got suggestions, or perhaps a link to demo model?

It works the way i want in linear calculations, but not in plastic.

NX NASTRAN Basic Nonlinear module (SOL106) do not support surface-to-surface constact, you need to use Advanced Nonlinear module (SOL601) in order to estudy problems fully nonlinear with surface-to-surface contact, geometric nonlinearities as large displacements effect and material nonlinearities.
Best regards,
Blas.

RE: need help modelling
yes, i had understood that as well after contacting the helpdek. Solved the problem by using regular contacts and axis-symmetrie in a cylinderical coorsinate system.
thanks and regards
