Hi, i'm simulating an absorption process using as solvent oure methanol, like rectisol process, so can you help me choosing the most suitable thermodynamic model. I'm using hysys aspen for the simulation, and try with soave ridliech kwong and peng robinson like thermodynamic model, in your opinion it's ok?

RE: adsorption of co2 from gas(CH4,C2H6,C3H8,C4H10...) using methanol like solvent

but hysys it's the only simulator that i can use in this place, and peng robinson seems the top fluid package present in hysys, i could change the interection parameters

you already have the answer,

so, why ask ?

If you need some numbers,

sure you'll get numbers smile)

I ask because i want to know if there were any alternative :)

as said by gaswell I would consider a software with some more specific model,
of course you have to pay for that :)

Or go for measured data and do interpolation gpa has a lot of data for these types of systems. They are in the public domain although there may be a fee.
