Print catia drawings from excel list

Print catia drawings from excel list

(OP)
Hi,

For all new projects, I have a list of drawings exportet to a list in excel from our ERP system. Each of these drawings I need to open in Catia and print. Is there a way to use this list from excel, and have catia open the drawings automatically and print them?

FYI: we use Smart team as a PDM, and XAL as our ERP.

Kind Regards,

Mikkel

RE: Print catia drawings from excel list

Hi,

I know how to do it in VPM, I never used SmartTeam....but should be same procedure....

Create a querry in your PDM based on your Excel file (there are different ways to do this, at least in VPM) and with all files opened in CATIA you can create a macro to loop thru opened documents in CATIA to print and close one by one.

Or you can save drawings locally and use batch print utility from pull down menu (Tools-Utility-...)

Fernando

Hi Ferdo,

Thank you for your answer. So this might be a possibility. But I hoped to be able to automate is some more, so that I would not need to open the drawings myself first. I will keep looking if there is a possibility.
