RISA 3D and Duct Design

(OP)
Has anyone used RISA 3D to design round ducts with elbows and intersecting ducts at a 30 degree angle?

Are there any short cuts to developing the nodes and plates for a 90 degree elbow?

Thanks.

RE: RISA 3D and Duct Design

Import the geometry from cad software. I have never done this with Risa, but I would start by exporting a simple rise plate model to cad and seeing how the different elements plot.

RE: RISA 3D and Duct Design

We've done that - imported a surface from cad into RISA-3D and generated an FEA mesh.
