Hinge between beam elements

Hinge between beam elements

Hinge between beam elements

(OP)
Hello all,

I have more or less started working with abaqus a couple of months ago, so i am quite inexperienced with it. I have been reading a lot, looking for an answer to my question, but I could not find it.

I am working with a steel tubular truss, planar, and I am working with beam elements(B33) I do not want to work with truss elements. The problem comes when I try to join those elements. As a truss, they do not have moment, so I need to make a hinge between them, but i do not know how. I have tried with springs as well, but it did not work. I would apreciate any help you could give me.

Thanks in advance.
Joe
