2 Questions NX8

2 Questions NX8

(OP)
Hello!!

Please, I work with NX8, and I need help for 2 questions:

First: Sometimes when I work with assemblies, if I make a component as work part and change the layer of one object saving changes and then I make this part as displayed part and change again the layer of this object and save it, when I close all and reopen it, I see in this part the object in differente layer making the part as displayed part or as working part in the assembly.

Why is the reason of this and how can I solve it?

Second: I have a sketch and I need delete one reference line, but NX not allow to me do it.
Is there any tool that protect elements for avoiding delete them?
How can I delete this type of elements?

Thanks in advance,...

RE: 2 Questions NX8

Layer changes ALWAYS takes place in the Displayed Part, no matter the work part.
- You have to make the component the Displayed Part to modify the layers there.
- I wrote an IR on this many years ago and got the explanation that "layers are part of the display system and therefore occurs in the displayed part"

Regards,
Tomas

RE: 2 Questions NX8

when you try to delete the reference line are you actually in the sketch? in other words is the sketch active?

Thanks Tomas for the answer!!!

@jerry1423: Yes, the sketch is active. I can delete another lines but not the reference line.

RE: 2 Questions NX8

Maybe do an Info->Object on that reference curve and post what shows up
