Please refer to the link under attachment, that's my model (using Solidworks). This is regarding my final year project. Load analysis on stent.
I want to apply a radial load onto the inner surface of the balloon, so that the balloon will expand, which in turn will expand my stent.
I'm using Static Structural-Mechanical to solve the problem.

What I mean is the load acting on the inner surface on the cylindrical object (balloon catheter). Each point on the inner surface of the balloon should have the same load acting on it.

Trust me, I would not have to take all the trouble and post a new thread if I know the solution.
And no, Ansys Mechanical does not assume that the pressure is distributed uniformly throughout the circular wall of cylinder. ANsys Mechanical will assume that it is a point load. Not a distributed load.
Hence, I cannot just pick a area and apply a pressure.

For information:
If you apply a pressure to an area correctly in ANSYS Mechanical, the code will not "assume that it is a point load". Any pressures applied will be converted internally to forces at the nodes but you will not see this in Workbench.
