two-way slab reinforcement notation on drawings
two-way slab reinforcement notation on drawings
(OP)
I just wanted to pick some of the brilliant minds on here as to the best way to call out two-way slab reinforcement on drawings. I've seen hatching done with a schedule, I've seen it all done via details, and I've seen it done with plan notes. Any advice on the best way. I'm hoping there are some concrete contractors/ironworkers that can also chime in.
Any advice would help. I'm all
Thank you.

RE: two-way slab reinforcement notation on drawings
So, within each strip 2 bars are shown in the given direction, it is labeled T or B, and the quantity of bars is identified with size. I have also seen where if the plan is complicated, 2 plans are created showing top reinforcing on one plan, and bottom on the other.
I wish I had some of my older existing drawings available that I could scan and share the plan linework and set up. Picture is worth a thousand words. And the drafters from the 70's that did tons of 2 way slabs were really good at it.
Anyway, I let some others pick apart my post.
