ISO GD&T for a slot/elongated hole
ISO GD&T for a slot/elongated hole
(OP)
Hi all,
I'm trying to find the best way to dimension a slot that complies with current BS/ISO standards - I'm a pretty heavy user of "the search function", and have been googling like a fiend, but I cannot seem to find anything that states how it should be done (which is strange for such a seemingly common feature??).
Can anyone shed some light on this please? Cheers

RE: ISO GD&T for a slot/elongated hole
What appears like an obround slot on the drawing may represent loosely toleranced clearance feature, or precise keyway, or something else.
Requirements for ends of the slot being rounded may vary as well.
Only you can make the final decision. This is why there is no “slot standard” out there.

What is Engineering anyway: FAQ1088-1484: In layman terms, what is "engineering"?

Although those barely count as "GD&T for a slot"
