NX 7.5 SORTING PARTS LIST

NX 7.5 SORTING PARTS LIST

NX 7.5 SORTING PARTS LIST

(OP)
Hello,
I'm working on a 100 part assembly and I've been pretty successful in getting a parts list set up using all the attributes, except for sorting. I'm assigning part find numbers (I've only done 3 so far) and the sorting command REFUSES to sort with number 1 starting on the bottom. I've tried the "sort" box, checked "find no" and flipped it. All it does is send item 1 to the end of the parts list block.
I also went to the style menu for the entire parts list, toggled the "grow direction" to UPWARDS. Still, from bottom to top, it reads....3, 2, 1.

RE: NX 7.5 SORTING PARTS LIST

I think you will find what you need if you click on the top left corner of your parts list and click style.
You will see at the top grow direction, with the option upward and downward. I think you want downward.

Thanks Jerry, but that didn't work. To me "grow direction" would mean that I start with find no. 1 on the bottom or top and grow from there. So, I'm trying to get find no. 1 on the bottom and have the parts list grow UPWARD from there. In every combination of style settings and sort settings, find number 3 is at the bottom.

Jerry,
I think I got it. I was not filling in all the find numbers in the PL. I just left them blank and tried to have NX sort the PL with just a few Find numbers in place. It didn't work. But...when I filled in all the find number squares with ...find numbers...it worked!! Thanks
