Multiple Values

Multiple Values

Multiple Values

(OP)
I have a rule that sets the multiple values of a parameter(B) based off the value of another parameter(A). Is there a way to set parameter(B) to equal the value of the first multiple value in the list? Whenever parameter(A) is changed, the value of parameter(B)does not change until I select a value from the new list of multiple values.

Thank You,
Kevin

RE: Multiple Values

if you control parameter B from parameter A, why do you need multiple values?

The valuation of Parameter B by a relation may not satisfy the list of multiple values <== message from CATIA KWA.

Then Parameter B list id not avalable no more as Parameter B is defined by if tule.

RE: Multiple Values

Add a reaction. When A = "Whatever your input is", B = "Enter first value in list", etc. Just tested it and it works, I have the exact same scenario in one of my templates.

RE: Multiple Values

my reaction are only on valuechange... how do you check the value?

For this application, parameter A would be the type of die steel (form, trim, flange, etc.) that the user sets. Parameter B would be a list of materials that fit the application based off the type selected. Ideally it would be nice to be able to set parameter B to the value my company prefers but have the multiple value list so the user can select something different if out customer specifies to.

Thanks jopal, I will give that a try.

Working great jopal. itsmyjob, my reaction is set to a value change of parameter A. Down side might be that if parameter B is changed after the reaction has been triggered and it is triggered again the user will have to remember to change parameter B a second time.

RE: Multiple Values

yes kr7530 you are exactly correct, that is the only downfall with this method
