"Code Change" Symbol on the P&ID
"Code Change" Symbol on the P&ID
(OP)
Hi everybody,
Is it customary to show a code/standard change symbol where ever there is such one in a line on the P&ID (e.g. from B31.3 to B31.8)? If so, introduction of any reference will be highly appreciated.

Normally a thin line with two lines with arrows pointing to it with the two codes. Is that what you meant?
My motto: Learn something new every day
Also: There's usually a good reason why everyone does it that way

I agree with Littleinch about symbols, although I don't recall any Standard for this.
It depends on the engineering design company, but there will usually be a change in line number too, if for instance going from a transportation pipeline to process piping.
