Editing feature text.

(OP)
We are having difficultly editing feature text that was added to a model by one of our users.

NX 7.5 and NX 8

Insert - Curve - Text

Our issue is that, he is the only user able to edit the feature. When any of our other users selects it to edit, the text is greyed out, and un-selectable/editable in the edit pane window.

The other features in the model are selectable and editable with no issue. Only the inserted text feature is locked by one particular user.

Can anyone shed some light on what the issue may be, and how to correct it / avoid it in the future?

RE: Editing feature text.

Scout67,

Are the different users using the same computer that works for the original user or are they opening that part on different computers? (is a an installed font(s) on specific computers issue?)

Have you tried Edit With Rollback?

ewh, yes, we have tried edit with rollback. As well as make feature current, prior to edit selection.

jpetach, I will have to look into the text font availability, thanks. Yes the different users are on different computers.

I believe jpetach has answered this. The available text fonts are much different between the computers.

Thank you.
