RE: taper bore of materials

I apologize for my ignorance, but could you please explain in few words what is the 'taper boring' activity you perform on a piece of pipe.
Best regards,
gr2vessels

RE: taper bore of materials

4:1 thicknesse figure t of the s80 x 4 thats the min L of the taper,
I hope I make sense to you. if you are actually grinding off a s80 to s40 bore.

at GR2 thats machining of one side of the thicker pipe to match the thinner...hope my answer is relevent.
at GenB thank you but is there perhaps a ref to that answer.

Regards

RE: taper bore of materials

Tman1 should have said:
That means machining of the inside diameter of the thicker pipe wall to match the inside diameter of the thinner pipe wall. The outside diameter of both pipes walls already match.

prognosis: Lead or Lag
